Gumtree Golf & Nature Club is looking for a hands-on freelance Product Development & Production Coordinator to support product development and production across apparel, accessories, and other product categories. This role will work closely with Karsten, the GGNC team and our suppliers  to keep development and production moving, with a particular focus on our domestic New York partners.

Role Overview

Domestic PD & Production

  • Help manage day-to-day development and production with local factories and vendors

  • Make regular in-person factory visits to check on development and production status and keep timelines moving

  • Pick up and drop off samples, materials, trims, and other components as needed

  • Order and coordinate materials and trims with vendors

  • Create and issue cut tickets and other production documentation as needed

  • Conduct basic QC checks on samples and production, flagging issues with construction, materials, finishing, or overall quality

  • Flag issues or delays quickly and help troubleshoot with vendors and the GGNC team

General PD & Production

  • Create and submit purchase orders for sampling and production

  • Stay on top of vendor communication and proactively follow up on open items, approvals, and deadlines

  • Track development and production against key milestones and flag upcoming deadlines to the GGNC team

  • Maintain and update WIP trackers

  • Track shipments to and from vendors

  • Make sure vendor invoices are received, logged, and submitted for processing

  • Assist with sourcing and onboarding new vendors for product development

  • Support additional product development and production needs as they arise

  • Experience working with domestic factories and vendors; NYC Garment District experience strongly preferred

  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple products, vendors, and timelines at once

  • Proactive communicator who follows through and isn't afraid to pick up the phone or visit a factory when needed

  • Able to monitor vendor communication throughout the workday and respond or follow up quickly when something needs attention

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, small-company environment
